UCPD Level 4 (distance or classroom) - The UCPD or to give it its correct title the University Certificate in Continuing Professional Development in Forensic Road Collision Investigation is your initial collision investigation course and is seen, in the UK and Ireland, as the entry level course. There are two study modes,, mainly classroom and mainly distance, although each contains an element of the other.  You will need to contact AiTS to register for the UCPD.  The course has a value of 60 credits at level 4.

The CertHE in forensic road collision investigation (studied mainly by distance learning) is the first step to a Foundation degree.  The course is worth a further 60 credits at level 4.  Exit at this point to gain a CertHE or continue to Level 5 to complete the foundation degree (you are half way there!).
